Game 154 - Abyssal Dwarfs - 2021/03/20

Greetings!

In the second round of the Rage of Isolation 4 online tournament played over Universal Battle 2, I had a great pleasure to play against Michael. 

Michael told me he has recently started playing Kings of War in general and at the time of the tournament last year, did not have a chance to play with real models yet. He chose the army of Abyssal Dwarfs as his force for this event.

This faction has some really tough units to choose from and as always, I am very interested in seeing what exactly attracts my opponent's attention and what made to the army list.

Michael chose an interesting range of units and ended up with, in my opinion, a well rounded and versatile army. Here are the details:

Game 102 - Night Stalkers vs Abyssal Dwarfs - 2018/12/01

Today's report is going to be a bit different. Jeff and I have played quite a few games so far in order to help him decide on the army list he wanted to take to Australian Masters. He made a final call and submitted his army list. It was Night Stalkers force with Trident Realm allies. 

The interesting part about Australian Masters is that the first round is decided by the position in the ranking (so 1st player plays vs 2nd, 3rd vs 4th and so on) and it is also an army swap battle. It means that players are going to use their opponent's army to fight against their own force.

As a part of the preparation Jeff wanted to have a game in such setting. I was more than happy to play with his force! In fact, I got a chance to play with it before him, as he has not used it yet at that stage! Here are the details of his army list:

Game 81 - Abyssal Dwarfs - 2018/03/03

In the first game of the day two and battle 5 of the tournament I played against Stephen and his Abyssal Dwarfs. I have never played against Stephen before, although I believe we participated in the same events in the past. It was thus great opportunity for me to play against him for the very first time!

Stephen brought an army that had almost ever model from Mantic and it looked great! My pictures do not show properly how good the models look. Perhaps the dark color scheme was also more difficult to present nicely. But it was fantastic to be able to play against a very nice and characterful looking army! Game 76 - Abyssal Dwarfs - 2018/01/21

I managed to continue with Monday nights Kings of War gaming in the local store. It was even better that I know that I will need to skip gaming night in the week before Australian Clash of Kings. 

This time I had a great pleasure to play against Christo who this time brought his Abyssal Dwarfs (previously I played against his Empire of Dust army). 

Christo's army looks fantastic and has a great mix of Mantic units and models from other manufacturers, most notably an Overmasters from Scibor Miniatures.

In terms of composition Christo included a number of trade mark units for Abyssal Dwarfs and that also added greatly to the theme of the battle. Here is the list with the details:

Australian Masters 2017 - Part 7

In the round 2 of Australian Masters 2017 I had a great pleasure to play against Andrew and his Abyssal Dwarfs.

Andrew came a very long way from Melbourne to participate in the tournament and it was the very first time I had a chance to play against him.

He commanded one of the two Abbysal Dwarfs army with a strong theme of slave warriors force. There were very few Abyssal Dwarf in fact, as the arm's main body count came from three hordes of Slave Orcs!

In the last game of the tournament I was about to play against Abyssal Dwarfs. The army I have played only once so far. While it is better than nothing it is not much of a huge experience either. 

It happened that the army of my opponent consisted of some of the already known units but also some that I didn't have a chance to play against yet. I had quite a break in gaming or general hobby so I am very happy to announce a new report, the very first in 2016! This game was long overdue and only thanks to an infinite patience of my opponent, Dustin, it actually happened in the end. Thanks so much for not giving up on me, Dustin! And sincere apologies for the fact I had to postpone our game for so long.
