Greetings!

I was very nicely surprised when after I posted about my very first game in Play By Email, I learned that quite a number of players use this way. I also receive a few generous offers to play this way, so I would like to take the opportunity to thank everyone who reached out! I will definitely find time to organize a game against everyone who contacted me. 

In the meantime, a sort of rematch was scheduled already. This time, however, Erasmus decided to use another force of his - The Dwarfs of the Fool's Hold! You should check how the army looks like in real life and read their story too!

Who are the Fools? - story

Game 138 - Dwarfs - 2020/02/13

In the fifth round of the Clash of Kings Australia 2020 I met another new player, Brent, who commanded army of Dwarfs. It was thus another classic duel between archetypical armies of many fantasy worlds!

Brent came down from Sydney and he told me he has only recently started playing Kings of War. Excellent! Great to know there are new players joining the ranks! 

The composition of his army was very intriguing. He had some units I knew are tough as I faced them before. For example, Earth Elementals or Ironclad Horde. I was intrigued by Shieldbreaker Regiments as these were similar to Palace Guard, by Brock Riders after changes and the very new Steel Juggernouts. Brent also mentioned that Jeff himself helped him with the design of this army. It is great to have such an experienced and great player in your corner! Greetings!

In the last game of the Return of the King tournament I played against Peter and his Dwarfs. Classic match up in any fantasy system! 

It was also quite an interesting situation in the tournament standings as thanks to my two big victories I found myself fighting for a podium. Very exciting! 

I have never played against Peter before so the fact I had an opportunity to play against him at last was even more important! Peter brought quite compact Dwarf army with a formation that I soon learned to respect a lot :)

Game 86 - Dwarfs - 2018/05/09

I have recently missed the opportunity to participate in the local tournament. As if it was not bad already, I was not able to play against Matt (famous Dwarf general, known for his Brocks, Rocks and Glocks style and a fantastic tournament organizer), after accepting his challenge to settle our score. 

Fortunately for me Matt had a free spot in his busy schedule and we decided to play our challenge in the local store. We set at usual 2000 points and randomly chosen map and scenario with the help of Epic Dwarf Map/Scenario Randomizer. 

We both wanted to test some changes to our respective army lists, as we are both adapting to new rules released with Clash of Kings 2018. While Matt kept his famous theme with the army, there were some interesting additions I have never played against before:

The Valley of Kings 3.1 - Dwarfs - 2017/08/26

Brocks, Rocks and Glocks!

In the first game of the Valley of Kings 3.1 event I was honored to be challenged by Matt, our local tireless Tournament Organizer and the man behind organizing Clash of Kings in Australia himself! 

I was very happy to play against Matt again as not only he is a top bloke and a absolute pleasure to play against but we also started to develop a Saga of battles between classic enemies in almost any fantasy world - Dwars vs Elves. 

As Matt built his army with fantastic models I was also looking forward to see them in action again as they look awesome on the battle field. While I decided to keep almost the same army as in our previous encounters, Matt kept experimenting in the meantime. As a result, a version of his force called affectionately "Brocks, Rocks and Glocks" was fielded this time.

The Valley of Kings 1 - Dwarfs - 2017/03/17

In the round two of the 1st Valley of Kings tournament I got a chance for a re-match against Matt and his fantastic looking Dwarf army, almost entirely composed from Sciobor's Miniatures.

Not only we were paired against each other again but it seemed that our armies have not quite changed since the last game. It was thus very interesting to play again when certain tricks may not work anymore! :)

Kings of Cro-Nation 1 - Game 3 - Dwarfs - 2016/12/01

In game 3 I met Matt, the man who not only organized this tournament but is the mastermind behind the organization of Clash of Kings - Australia 

He is doing absolutely fantastic job about the event, promoting it and securing the sponsorship of so many companies that is beyond believe. 

He was there to make sure that there was an even number of players and that nobody would need to play fewer games than other participants.

It was thus a great pleasure to play against Matt, also because I have not had a chance to do so earlier. 

Matt is currently building an army of Dwarfs and he is using Scibor Miniatures for all the units in his army (with the exception of artillery). They are absolutely fantastic, it was my first opportunity to see them alive and I must say that Matt's army will be gorgeous when painting is done. Keep up the great work Matt!
