Monster March - Part 4

Greetings!

Time for another Monster March 3 update! First of all, my sincere apologies for a bit of delay. There was a bit of real life interference which resulted in disruptions to internet access. Things are not yet back to normal but the main news is that it did not prevent me from posting this update!

Some of the participants did a great job by already finishing their pledges and moving to other projects. Well done! For some of us it may be that week that things got a bit slowed down. However, this is a perfect time to get back to painting, one can still make some progress. As I mentioned before, the main goal for this challenge is to help each other with inspiration and keep each other motivated. Especially when things tend to slow down.

Let's have a look at this week progress!

Blazmo

Blazmo is one of the participants who managed to finish his fantastic project. Just have a look at his Steel Panther!

Steel Panther - ready to roll!

As usual, Blazmo posted about the progress he made and you can see more photos of his super heavy tank on his blog:

Tabletop Apocalypse - Week 3

However, despite the fact Blazmo has finished the project early, he does not stop there and another Monster was sighted on his painting table:

What kind of abomination is this?

Well done and thanks for staying with us for another week!

Caladaris

Caladaris is one of the participants who pledged a few models at the same time and you absolutely must check his post on Creative Twilight. There is a huge progress on all of his models and the picture below is just a spoiler!

Always good idea to add a reference model for scale comparison!

Really great models and some very unique painting schemes too!

DAM

DAM is an example of the painter who picks up the momentum in time and this week he posted not once but twice about his progress and the way he achieves a very interesting pattern on his Warlord Titan.

Warlord Titan.

I really enjoyed reading about his painting techniques and I highly recommend checking his posts:

Vince

Talking about real life interference, Vince can definitely tell you a thing or two how it may affect even the most careful plans. However, the most important thing is that he managed to make some progress nonetheless!

I really like the fluorescent effect!

That's the way to go, Vince! Never give up, never back down!

Swordmaster

My progress was also slowed down significantly, I didn't take post the picture this time as it really looks as if nothing has been done. Fortunately, things are looking promising for this week so that I can get back to the proper pace of painting. And I am really looking forward to it as I can't wait to see the models finished, I enjoy painting them a lot!

I hope to see all of you next week when it will be the last update for Monster March and a final post to summarize what participants achieved this year.

I am looking forward to seeing your final pictures!

Cheers!

    1. Thanks a lot! Post updated with the link as usual. Great work indeed! I like the Titans a lot, that is why I keep posting pictures of them constantly :)

I also need to tell you that the painting scheme on a dragon is really, really good! Well done!

  2. I'm liking the blue cammo on DAM's Warlord. Very cool, and different from what you usually see in 40k - it almost looks like it should come from an ocean world or something!

I'm glad to have the big tank finished. After I failed to complete my pledge for last year (mostly due to painting burnout), I feel a bit vindicated!

    1. I agree! DAM did a great job on his models and I have just noticed he posted yet another update on the details on how to achieve this spectacular effect.

I am really happy you came back again. This is always my hope that no matter what the result of the previous challenge, people will simply try again. And you did great, I think it is a fantastic inspiration for other painters in itself!

      Cheers!

I really love Blazmo's panther tank! Really impressive! And that's from a guy who doesn't like 40k or scifi. :)
